Wood Guard is a very versatile product with many uses. It can be applied to almost any surface

because of it’s super adhesive ability. Its main application is mining timber, electrical cables and roof trusses.

 It penetrates and seal timber
 It is cost effective
 There is no need for expensive application methods it can be applied with standard air compressor or paint brush
Wood Guard glues itself to timber & penetrates the cracks and cavities, adding to the mechanical strengths of the timber.

General Description:
A water based coating, fire retardant designed to protect electrical cables/wood against the ravages of fire.
Physical properties:
Color: Black to brown/ colour less
Spread rate: 0.900 liters per m2
Shelf life: 12 months
Drying time 7 days
Fully cure 12 days

Ionic state: Anionic
Good green and fired pellet strength
Solid content: 49 – 80 %

Stability: Excellent
Stability: Stable. Incompatible with acids, most metals, many organic materials.
Toxicology: Harmful by ingestion. Corrosive –may cause burns through skin or eye contact.

Transport information: Non hazardous for air, sea and road freight.
Personal protection: safety glasses and gloves.
First aid: Ingestion (large doses) gives water or milk; do not induce vomiting.
Non-fire response: Neutralize spilled material with crushed limestone, soda ash or lime.
Auto ignition Temperature: Not Flammable
Storage conditions: Protect from frost and heat. Store in tightly closed containers and reseal tightly after opening. Use product in sequence of date of arrival. Recommended storage temperature is +5 to +35C
Storage stability: Approximately 12 months after delivery, if stored in original unopened drums under the stated conditions.
